Would you like to introduce yourself ?
My name is Béatrice Pigeon, I’m the daughter of the creator of this place.
What is your role within your Les Castels campsite?
I am the Director “owner and manager” of Bois du Bardelet.
How long has the campsite existed ? Can you describe it?
The campsite Les Bois du Bardelet has existed for 45 years. It is an old farmhouse which has been transformed into a residential park with 40 places, and, for 35 years, it’s been a holiday resort.
What are your values, your ambitions for the future?
My values are: care of the environment, family, multi-ethnicity and tolerance. I want to retain the same passion towards welcoming and caring for our guests for many years to come.
Can you give us an anecdote? Your best memory?
One day, I saw a swan on the edge of the property, I opened the gate and it proceeded to walk toward the ponds of the estate. Since then that same swan has adopted our domain, and in 2018 produced a family ! As for memories, its difficult to select only one throughout my 40 years here … But the following memory will remain with me forever .. When I was visiting the campsite in a golf cart, whilst very pregnant, a client asked me “So, when is it due ? And I answered them with a laugh ” yesterday ! Because the initial date of delivery was scheduled for the day before !
Your favourite place on the property?
Bordering the ponds during the sunset, it’s beautiful and so relaxing.
Your favourite moment according to the seasons?
In Spring, with the arrival of the first holidaymakers of the season and the leaves beginning to burst on the trees. In Summer, the children lined up in front of my office about to head off to the entertainment terrace where the mini disco is held every evening at 18:30. At the Autumn, the trees show their beautiful colours and a sense of tranquility takes place. And in Winter, the projects and development evolve and take shape in my mind and on the ground…
