There’s something for the whole family in this luxurious rural campsite, perfectly located at the crossroads of French departments Allier, Indre and Cher. The campsite really lives up to its name “Poinsouze”, from old French meaning “place of the water sources”, with the water park for the whole family, slide, paddling pool, water games and pool spilling over into the adjoining lake.

We liked:

Pitch location. Friendly staff. Cleanliness everywhere particularly toilet block. Not too commercial. Fab campsite meal. Great takeaway. Personal attention from owners. Pitch size. Lake.

Heating in the pool.

Beautiful site with amazing lake. Pool facilities was great. We felt safe and well looked after. Sarah is an absolute credit to the team along with the lovely lady at reception.

We did not like:

Better takeout portions. Restaurant to be open for breakfast and lunch.

A super site,one of the best sites for a relaxing break. Very large pitches with spotless shower and toilet block.The staff were always friendly and helpful. Great restaurant food and takeaway.

Removal of redundant footbath leading to the pool would improve access

Come to this charming campsite for a relaxing family holiday, with camping pitches, mobile homes, wooden chalets, unusual lodges, roulottes or gites. Every camping pitch is near the château, games room and water park. All the other rental accommodation is fully-equipped and blend perfectly into the flowery fields around the château.
