Spending time at camping, and having a stop over at La Rochelle which is the capital of the region is a must. Besides the most picturesque landscape, the harbour city warmly welcomes their yearly music festival Francofolies. Five days of concerts dedicated to young emerging artists in the French scene. This is located within the city walls and this year the festival-goers were able to listen to Louane, Maître Gims, Jain, BreakBot, Keren Ann … There was music !
Recommended to all thrill seeker fans, the harbour city also welcomes “Red Bull Cliff Diving” every year. An incredible sporting event of free-falling, combining awe-inducing acrobatics with incredible complexity. Experienced divers jump off the 28 meters high Tour Saint Nicolas and demonstrate astonishing feats ! It’s breath-taking and it’s packed with exciting suspense ! The 2016 edition presented the World Series champion British Gary Hunt, at the very top of his game !
At Ile d’Oléron, the second edition of the Festival O ! Les Rues dedicated towards the arts. It takes place in the streets and was from the 22nd to 23rd August. Travelling shows, artistic performances and open air theater all creating a fantastic atmopshere ! Can’t wait for 2017 !
Near the camping Les Castels Le Petit Trianon de St Ustre, the Parc du Futuroscopeat Poitiers presents its new 2016 show « La Forge aux étolies » created by the Cirque du Soleil. As night falls come and see the amazing aqua-magic show which combines scenography, pyrotechnic and spectacular lighting effects.

The city of Angoulême has opened its walls for more than 70 years to welcome the renowned and most beautiful classic Car Rally. Over three days from 16th to 18th September 2016, you can admire more than 160 vintage cars in the city and attend several rallies. A great opportunity to reminise amongst the beautiful automobiles of days gone by.
Do not forget the small markets, attic sales and other flea markets in the town ! Keep an eye open and always inquire at your Les Castels campsite !
